Speechify reads documents, web pages and scanned images aloud at up to 5x playback, split across iOS, Android, a Chrome extension and a Mac reader. Free accounts are capped at 10 robotic voices and 1.5x speed, while Premium opens more than 1,000 voices, 60-plus languages, AI summaries and voice dictation. A separate developer product at speechify.ai sells the Simba speech models by API, and Speechify Studio handles voiceover production on its own bill.
The pricing page headlines Premium at $29/month; the annual plan is $139/year, so month-to-month costs roughly 2.5x the annual rate for identical features. Speechify Studio and the Speechify API at speechify.ai are separate purchases and the API price is not published — it routes to Talk to Sales.
