Speechify

The most complete listen-to-anything reader on a phone, but the $29 monthly sticker is a trap — the same thing is $139 a year, and the free tier is deliberately unpleasant.

Pros

Voicv prices in credits that map to published audio hours, which makes it easy to compare against ElevenLabs once you do the arithmetic — roughly 23 hours of audio per million credits. The non-expiring one-time packs suit occasional users far better than a subscription. What should give you pause is the vendor: a Wyoming LLC at a registered-agent address, with consent handled as policy rather than verification.
