Terms of Service

Last updated 23 August 2026

EffectHub is a catalog of AI tools. Using it means accepting what is below. It is written to be read rather than to be survived, and where a rule exists because the software enforces it, it says so.

Accounts

You can read everything without one. An account is needed to save tools, write reviews, ask questions or submit a listing, and you need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live — 16 at the least.

Give an email address that reaches you: it is how you learn what happened to a submission. Keep your credentials to yourself; what happens under your account is treated as yours. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why unless saying why would only help someone evade the rule.

Getting listed

A listing is editorial. Anyone can submit a tool; whether it becomes a page is our decision, taken against the published completeness bar, and being listed is not a right you acquire by asking or by paying. We can decline, edit or remove a listing — and a submission that is declined gets a reason.

There are two ways in, and they get the same scrutiny:

  • Free, with the badge. Once your tool is live you put our badge on your own site — one line of HTML linking back to your listing. It is checked automatically by reading your page: a self-hosted copy of the image, a missing link, or a nofollow on it does not count, because the badge is the whole consideration for a free listing. Take it down and the free terms stop applying to that listing.
  • $24, without it. The paid tier buys a faster review — a 48-hour target — and drops the badge requirement.

What the $24 does not buy: a position in any organic list, a category ranking, an effect score, a rating, or a guaranteed approval. It buys queue position, not catalog position. That rule is not a courtesy — it is the reason the rest of the catalog is worth reading.

How the $24 is paid: there is no checkout on the site yet, so an expedited submission arrives as a request. We arrange payment with you before anything is charged, and nothing is taken if we do not take the listing — a rejected submission is never billed.

What you may post

Reviews, questions and answers need an account and are text and nothing else — the rule is enforced when you press submit, not afterwards:

  • Plain text only. No links, no email addresses, no phone numbers or messenger handles, no HTML, no markup, no code. Anything carrying one is refused as you submit it, with the reason, rather than disappearing into a queue.
  • Write from your own experience with the tool. Reviews traded for money, discounts or favours are not allowed, from anyone, in either direction.
  • One account per person. Voting, rating or reviewing from several accounts to move a number is the one thing here that gets an account removed rather than moderated.
  • No abuse of a person, no impersonation of a vendor you do not represent, and nothing unlawful.

New accounts have their first posts read before they appear; after a few approved contributions, posting is immediate and moderation happens after the fact. We can remove or hide anything that breaks these rules, and we can limit what an account contributes without removing the account.

Your text stays yours. By posting it you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store it, show it on the site, and quote it in the ordinary furniture of a web page — search snippets, machine-readable summaries, a link somewhere else on the catalog. You confirm it is yours to post. Delete your account and what you posted under it goes with it.

Our content, and yours

Descriptions, categorisations, verdicts and the arrangement of the catalog are written by EffectHub Research and belong to us. Facts do not belong to anyone — a price is a price — but our wording of them is not free stock, and neither is the compilation.

Read the site as a person, at a human pace. Automated collection at scale, circumventing rate limits, or rebuilding the catalog out of our pages is not on. Every tool’s name, logo and trademarks belong to the vendor, and appear here to identify the product.

The badge is licensed for the listing it was issued for, served from our domain, and must stay linked to that listing. It renders only while the listing is live — that is what makes it worth anything to a reader.

What a catalog can and cannot promise

The catalog is provided as it is. We work at accuracy — the method is public — and we still expect to be wrong somewhere: prices change without notice, products pivot, a fact right in March is wrong by June, and a check can pass on a site that dies the next day. Confirm anything that matters on the vendor’s own page before you spend money on it.

Effect scores, rankings and statuses are summaries of what we measured. They are not a certification of a product, not a promise about its security or its future, and not advice to buy it. Listing a tool is not endorsing it, and a tool being absent is not a judgement on it.

We do not promise the site is uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what you lose by relying on it. Where a law gives you rights that cannot be signed away, this paragraph does not try to.

Not professional advice

Nothing here is medical, legal, financial or investment advice. We list tools in health, finance and adjacent fields because people look for them, and everything on those cards is a description of software — never a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a suggestion about what to do with your money. Talk to a qualified professional, and treat any tool that offers to replace one with the suspicion it has earned.

How we make money

Some outbound links can earn us a commission. They carry rel="nofollow sponsored", and they never cost you more than going direct. Paid placements, when they exist, are separate slots that say so on the page.

A commission never moves a tool up an organic list, and no advertiser is shown a ranking before it runs. If we ever cannot list something honestly because of a commercial arrangement, we drop the arrangement.

Changes and ending

These terms will change as the site does; the date at the top tracks it, and a change that affects what you agreed to will be stated plainly rather than folded into a paragraph. Continuing to use the site after a change is how you accept it.

You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can suspend access for a breach of these terms, and the sections that logically survive the end of an account — content licences already granted, the disclaimers above — survive it.
