We review a free listing once the badge is there; after it goes live we read the page every day, and while the badge is missing the listing is hidden until it is back.

Your badge links to your EffectHub page. That page links out to your site. Mark the link to us however you mark links — any rel passes the check.
Show where you rank
Earn a spot in the top 20 of your category and the badge says so — the position is read from the catalog on every fetch, never typed in by hand.
Or show your two scores
“Effect 72 · Trust 81”, computed live the way your listing shows them. It appears from Trust 70 — our “Trusted” band — and Effect 50; below that the badge falls back to “Featured on” on its own.
Or show a monthly award
Tools submitted by their makers race for the month they go live, on votes from EffectHub accounts — one place per 5 tools in the running, each needing 3+ net votes. A place is frozen when the month closes, so “#2 New AI tool · October 2026” never goes stale. Live standings are on /new.

Works on JavaScript sites
Our checker reads HTML and runs no script. When your pages ask for the badge image but the HTML does not show it, the check says “seen” and a person looks — no automatic “no”.
How to get yours
- 1. Apply — submit the tool. A free listing gets its snippet the moment you apply, and the badge works from that day: we review once it is on your home page.
- 2. Open your dashboard and pick the tool. The builder sits there, filled in with your slug and name, next to the check — with the rank, score and award styles whenever your listing has a figure worth showing.
- 3. Paste and check — copy the line into your site, then press check. A pass is recorded against the listing; a fail says which part is wrong. The same check then runs on its own every day.
