Pricing

Pricing model
Freemium

Free plan: 1,000 credits a month. Core, Pro and Teams are sold by monthly credit volume with annual billing cheaper than monthly, and Enterprise is quoted; the plan cards on the pricing page render client-side behind a Cloudflare check, so no dollar figure was readable today and none is recorded. Extra credits are bundles of 1,000 or 10,000 that expire with the term.

Overview

About Make

Make builds automations as visual scenarios: modules from more than 3,000 apps are wired together with routers, iterators, filters and error handlers, and the same canvas can be drafted by prompt, by drag-and-drop or from Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini through Make's MCP server. AI agents sit alongside scenarios, given a goal, tools and limits, with their reasoning visible, and an assistant called Maia helps build. Billing is in credits, where most module actions cost one credit, routers and error handlers cost none and AI-provider calls cost more; the free plan gives 1,000 credits a month, paid plans sell credit volume plus capabilities such as execution priority and team features, and extra credits come in bundles of 1,000 or 10,000. Governance covers roles, audit logs, SSO, GDPR and SOC 2 Type II. Make began in Prague as Integromat and belongs to Celonis.

Editorial verdict

Pros & cons of Make

medium confidence

Make is the visual automation tool for people who outgrow Zapier's straight lines and want routers, iterators and error handling on a canvas without running their own n8n. The credit model is the thing to understand before committing: most steps cost one credit, AI steps cost more and purchased top-ups expire, so a chatty scenario can burn a month's allowance in days. The MCP server and agents make it a reasonable home for assistant-driven automations, but they draw from the same credit pool.

Pros

  • Branching, iteration and error handling on a visual canvas, with routers and error handlers free of credits
  • 3,000+ native apps plus custom integrations for any API
  • AI agents with goals, tools, limits and visible reasoning, plus an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini
  • Free plan with 1,000 credits a month and SOC 2 Type II, SSO and audit logs on paid tiers

Cons

  • Plan prices are not readable without a browser session; the pricing page shows credits, not dollars, to fetchers
  • Credits expire at the end of the term and purchased extras expire sooner
  • AI-provider steps consume more than one credit, making agent-heavy scenarios hard to budget
  • No self-hosted option

Best for

  • Operations and marketing teams wiring SaaS apps together with branching logic they can see
  • Builders who want AI agents and automations in one place, driven from Claude or ChatGPT through MCP
  • Companies that need SSO, audit logs and SOC 2 on a no-code automation tool

Not for

  • Teams that need to self-host or avoid per-step metering; n8n is the usual answer
  • Simple two-step zaps, where Zapier's templates and app depth are quicker

Watch out: Auto-purchase of 10,000-credit bundles can be switched on for Core, Pro and Teams; a looping scenario with a bug can trigger repeated bundles before you notice, so set the limit before enabling it.
