Tines started as automation for security operations and now covers IT, finance, HR and general operations. You build workflows visually, connect anything with an HTTP API, and add AI steps where they help; the platform keeps a record of what each workflow exists for, who built it and what it can reach, which is the governance argument it makes to security teams. Deployment can be cloud or self-hosted, and you can point it at your own model. Two former security operators, Eoin Hinchy and Thomas Kinsella, started it in 2018 in Dublin. The free edition allows unlimited users and connectors but only three live workflows; paid editions are quoted by sales.

Governance over who built what is genuinely useful once several teams are automating. Pricing opacity is the cost of entry, and the free tier's three-workflow cap is hit fast.
