What our research says

Apollo.io

Apollo is the default choice for a small sales team that wants database, sequencing and dialler in one subscription without a ZoomInfo contract, and the agent layer now does the list-building and first-draft outreach that used to need a separate tool. The catch is the credit meter: AI research, enrichment and exports all draw from a pool that resets monthly, so the sticker price is the floor, not the bill.

Pros

  • Database, sequencing, dialler, enrichment and meeting booking in one tool at $49 per user
  • A real free plan for light use, with no card required
  • MCP server, Chrome extension and Apollo Anywhere put the data inside Claude, ChatGPT, Gmail and the CRM
  • Agents trained on your ICP and playbooks handle list building and first drafts

Cons

  • Credits reset every cycle and do not roll over, and add-on credits bill immediately and recur
  • Data accuracy varies by region and seniority, and bounces still eat sender reputation
  • Price cards on the pricing page load client-side; the annual discount is not stated
  • API access, SSO and advanced security are reserved for the Custom tier

FinalScout

Buy it for the LinkedIn-native extraction, not the AI writing: finding and verifying addresses is the part that earns its keep. At $50 for 50 credits the Solo tier is effectively a paid trial, and real usage starts at Team.

Pros

  • Chrome extension works directly on profile and search result pages
  • Unused credits roll over instead of expiring at month end
  • Published REST API reference, which most LinkedIn scrapers do not offer
  • Unlimited export and unlimited email verification on paid tiers

Cons

  • Solo tier is 50 credits for $50, roughly a dollar per email address
  • The 98% deliverability figure is vendor-stated and not independently audited
  • Bulk scraping runs through your own LinkedIn session and its daily view limits
  • Company location, ownership and team are not disclosed on the site

Which one fits

Choose Apollo.io if you need

  • Startups and SMB sales teams that need prospecting data plus sequences under one roof
  • Reps who work from Gmail, a CRM or Claude and want the database reachable from there
  • Teams that want agents to research accounts and draft outreach from their own playbook

Choose FinalScout if you need

  • SDRs who work primarily inside LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Recruiters assembling candidate contact lists from profile searches
  • Small teams wanting a verified email and a first-touch draft in one pass
