Use tool ↗About Twenty
Twenty is a CRM whose codebase is public on GitHub, so you can run it on your own servers or pay for the hosted version instead. You define your own objects, fields and views rather than bending a fixed schema, build automations in a no-code workflow editor, and extend the app in TypeScript through an apps framework. An API handles bulk migration off Salesforce or HubSpot, and a built-in MCP server lets coding agents read and write records directly. It is run by Twenty.com PBC, a Delaware public benefit corporation, and sold per seat: about nine dollars a user each month on Pro and nineteen on Organization, with enterprise deals quoted annually from fifty thousand. Self-hosting costs only your own infrastructure.

Pros & cons of Twenty
The most active open-source CRM on GitHub by a wide margin, and the rare one that does not feel like a 2010 admin panel. You get schema control and a real migration path off Salesforce, but the cloud tiers are young and the enterprise floor is steep once you need SSO-grade support.
Pros
- Full source on GitHub with commits landing daily
- Custom objects, fields and views without a paid tier gate
- Native MCP server plus an API, so agents and scripts work against the same data
- Migration tooling built for tens of thousands of records
- Self-hosting is genuinely free, not a crippled community edition
Cons
- Enterprise pricing jumps to $50k a year with nothing in between $19 a seat and that
- Ecosystem of integrations is thin next to HubSpot or Salesforce
- Self-hosting means you own upgrades, backups and uptime
Best for
- Technical teams that want to own their CRM data and schema
- Startups migrating off HubSpot or Salesforce without a five-figure contract
- Teams wiring coding agents into customer records through MCP
Not for
- Sales orgs that need mature forecasting and territory management out of the box
- Buyers with no appetite for self-hosting or for a young hosted product
Watch out: The repository is not under a standard OSI licence; GitHub reports it as a custom licence, so check the terms before building a commercial product on top.
