TaxLens is an iOS receipt scanner aimed at freelancers and small businesses. It photographs a receipt, extracts merchant, date and tax amounts, splits itemised lines, converts across 30-plus currencies and tags each expense as business or personal, attaching a confidence score where the call is ambiguous. Reports export to CSV, PDF and Excel for accounting software including QuickBooks. Receipts stay on the device or in the user's own iCloud rather than a vendor server. It is positioned as a cheaper alternative to Expensify. Subscriptions are weekly, monthly or yearly through the App Store; the app itself is a free download.
