Use tool βAbout Nimbalyst
Nimbalyst is a desktop app that sits on top of coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex, with OpenCode and GitHub Copilot also supported, and gives them a visual front end instead of a bare terminal. It runs several agent sessions in parallel with git worktree isolation, shows every AI edit as a diff to approve or reject, and includes editors for Markdown, CSV, Excalidraw, Mermaid, data models and UI mockups that the agent can read and change. A kanban-style tracker and a mobile companion app let you follow sessions away from the desk. The app is MIT-licensed and free for individuals; you bring your own agent subscription or API key. It is built by Nimbalyst, Inc., founded by the team behind Evergage.

Pros & cons of Nimbalyst
Nimbalyst suits developers and product people who already pay for Claude Code or Codex and want to see and steer several agent sessions at once, with diagrams, specs and mockups in the same window. It adds nothing on the model side, so anyone without an agent subscription, or happy in a terminal, gets little from it.
Pros
- MIT-licensed and free for individuals with no feature cap
- Diff review for every AI edit before it lands in a file
- Worktree isolation for parallel agent sessions
- Built-in editors for Markdown, CSV, Excalidraw, Mermaid and data models
Cons
- Depends on a third-party agent and its separate billing
- Teams pricing is announced but still in beta, so the paid tier is not settled
- Young product, first public code in late 2025
Best for
- Developers running several Claude Code or Codex sessions in parallel
- Product managers who write specs and mockups that agents then implement
- Small teams wanting shared docs and trackers that agents can edit
Not for
- People without an existing coding-agent subscription or API key
- Terminal-first developers who do not want a separate desktop app
Watch out: Teams is free during beta and listed at $20 per user per month afterwards, so a team that adopts it now should expect a bill once the beta ends.
