What our research says

Cleanup.pictures

Still the fastest free object eraser on the open web when you need one photo cleaned and refuse to make an account. It has been frozen for years though, so anything at print resolution or in volume belongs in its own successor ClipDrop or in Photoshop's generative fill.

Pros

  • no signup or upload queue, usable within seconds of landing on the page
  • $3-5 a month is the cheapest unlimited-resolution inpainting subscription around
  • the inpainting model is documented as an API with samples for Node.js, SwiftUI and Kotlin

Cons

  • the site has not visibly changed since 2022 and still carries the pre-acquisition owner's copyright notice
  • one seat per subscription, with no team or shared billing option
  • output quality now trails newer generative-fill models on anything large
  • free exports are hard-capped at 720px, which is unusable for print

Dewatermark

Does the specific job of erasing a watermark or timestamp reliably enough that it has apps across web, mobile, and desktop, with a large enough free daily allowance to test it before paying. The credit system means cost is unpredictable if you are processing many images or long videos rather than a handful of photos.

  • Available on web, iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac rather than browser-only
  • Free daily allowance of 3 images works without creating an account
  • Credits never expire on the pay-as-you-go option, so occasional users are not penalized

Cons

  • No flat monthly price for unlimited use; heavy users pay per credit
