What our research says

Cleanup.pictures

Still the fastest free object eraser on the open web when you need one photo cleaned and refuse to make an account. It has been frozen for years though, so anything at print resolution or in volume belongs in its own successor ClipDrop or in Photoshop's generative fill.

Pros

  • no signup or upload queue, usable within seconds of landing on the page
  • $3-5 a month is the cheapest unlimited-resolution inpainting subscription around
  • the inpainting model is documented as an API with samples for Node.js, SwiftUI and Kotlin

Cons

  • the site has not visibly changed since 2022 and still carries the pre-acquisition owner's copyright notice
  • one seat per subscription, with no team or shared billing option
  • output quality now trails newer generative-fill models on anything large
  • free exports are hard-capped at 720px, which is unusable for print

Magic Eraser

A genuinely quick object remover with no signup friction, and bulk editing of 50 images is rare at this price. The free tier is closer to a demo — watermark plus low resolution — and the standalone brand is now a door into the broader Magic Studio subscription.

  • Bulk editing up to 50 pictures at once on PRO
  • Annual PRO pricing works out cheap (~$4.99/month)
  • Accepts large uploads in JPG, PNG, AVIF and WEBP

  • Free downloads are low-resolution and watermarked
  • magiceraser.io no longer stands alone — you are buying Magic Studio
  • No published API or desktop app
