Use tool ↗About ChatShape
ChatShape crawls a website or ingests uploaded PDFs, stores the extracted text, and turns it into an embeddable chat widget that answers visitor questions and collects emails. Conversations and captured leads are logged with analytics and CSV export, and the widget's tone, branding and canned responses are configurable. A companion Chrome extension feeds in pages that sit behind a login, including private Notion, Confluence and Quip wikis that a public crawler cannot reach.

Pros & cons of ChatShape
A cheap, unfussy way to put a docs-trained bot on a small site. The Chrome extension for authenticated wikis is the one thing larger rivals make harder, but message caps and the absent API keep this in small-business territory.
Pros
- free tier is enough to test whether retrieval quality is acceptable on your content
- Chrome extension ingests logged-in pages a crawler cannot see
- lead export to CSV is included rather than upsold
- $19 entry sits well below AI add-ons from mainstream helpdesk vendors
Cons
- no documented API for creating or managing bots programmatically
- the jump from $48 to $398 between Standard and Pro is brutal
- very small operation — support runs through a single named email address
- message caps are tight: 500 a month on the $19 plan
Best for
- small SaaS or agency sites deflecting repeat pre-sales questions
- internal knowledge bots built from Notion, Confluence or Quip pages
- lead capture on a marketing site with straightforward CSV export
Not for
- support volumes above a few thousand messages a month
- embedding the bot inside a product, since no public API was found
Watch out: Pricing steps straight from $48 to $398, so outgrowing 4,000 messages a month means roughly an eightfold bill increase overnight.
