What our research says

Apollo.io

Apollo is the default choice for a small sales team that wants database, sequencing and dialler in one subscription without a ZoomInfo contract, and the agent layer now does the list-building and first-draft outreach that used to need a separate tool. The catch is the credit meter: AI research, enrichment and exports all draw from a pool that resets monthly, so the sticker price is the floor, not the bill.

Pros

  • Database, sequencing, dialler, enrichment and meeting booking in one tool at $49 per user
  • A real free plan for light use, with no card required
  • MCP server, Chrome extension and Apollo Anywhere put the data inside Claude, ChatGPT, Gmail and the CRM
  • Agents trained on your ICP and playbooks handle list building and first drafts

Cons

  • Credits reset every cycle and do not roll over, and add-on credits bill immediately and recur
  • Data accuracy varies by region and seniority, and bounces still eat sender reputation
  • Price cards on the pricing page load client-side; the annual discount is not stated
  • API access, SSO and advanced security are reserved for the Custom tier

Ozigi

Ozigi's bet is that a small team doing its own pipeline generation is also usually doing its own content marketing, so bundling lead sourcing and outreach with newsletter, social, and blog drafting in one dashboard saves switching between separate tools. The split pricing between content-only, outbound-only, and both is a fair way to pay for just the half you need, but as an independent, single-founder product its long-term roadmap and support depth are unproven.

Pros

  • Combines lead sourcing, outreach, and content drafting in one dashboard instead of several tools
  • Free plan is substantial enough to test both engines before paying
  • Pricing splits cleanly by which engine, content or outbound, you actually need

Cons

  • Built and apparently run by a single independent founder, a real risk for continuity and support
  • Company discloses no registered entity name or country of operation
  • Sourcing leads from GitHub, Dev.to, and LinkedIn works best for tech-adjacent audiences, less so for other industries

Which one fits

Choose Apollo.io if you need

  • Startups and SMB sales teams that need prospecting data plus sequences under one roof
  • Reps who work from Gmail, a CRM or Claude and want the database reachable from there
  • Teams that want agents to research accounts and draft outreach from their own playbook

Choose Ozigi if you need

  • Solo founders and small teams doing both outbound sales and content without dedicated staff
  • Teams that source leads from developer-adjacent platforms like GitHub and Dev.to
  • Buyers who want to pay for only content or only outbound rather than a bundled suite
