Overview

About Synthflow

Synthflow is a platform for AI voice and chat agents that handle phone work such as customer service, receptionist and answering-service calls, appointment booking and IVR replacement. Agents are designed in a visual Flow Designer, tested with simulated calls in a Test Center, launched over Synthflow's in-house telephony or SIP trunking, and monitored by automatic QA once live. Agents can transfer calls, book meetings, call external APIs, read from a knowledge base and remember contacts. An API and integrations with CRMs and tools like WhatsApp are available. Synthflow was founded in Berlin in 2023 and raised a $20 million Series A in 2025.

Editorial verdict

Pros & cons of Synthflow

high confidence

Synthflow targets companies and BPOs that want to automate a real volume of phone calls with testing and QA around the agents. Small businesses wanting a cheap receptionist bot, or developers wanting pay-per-minute experiments, will find the $30,000 entry point too high.

Pros

  • Own telephony network as well as SIP trunking
  • Built-in simulated-call testing and automatic QA
  • Visual flow builder plus API and CRM integrations
  • Covers both voice and chat agents

Cons

  • No published self-serve plan or per-minute rate
  • Minimum annual contract of $30,000
  • Pricing depends on scoping with sales

Best for

  • Contact centres and BPOs automating inbound call volume
  • Enterprises replacing IVR menus with conversational agents
  • Healthcare, retail and financial services teams booking appointments by phone

Not for

  • Small businesses with low call volume
  • Developers who want to try voice agents on a pay-as-you-go basis

Watch out: Entry is an annual enterprise contract starting at $30,000, and the pricing page shows no self-serve or per-minute option, so third-party reviews quoting cheaper plans are out of date or unverified.
