Open-source browser agent that drives websites by intent instead of CSS selectors.
Skyvern automates work that lives inside someone else's website - downloading invoices, filling application forms, pulling data out of portals, logging into accounts. It pairs vision models with computer vision to find the right button or field by what it is for, so a layout change does not break the run the way an XPath would. It handles CAPTCHAs, stored credentials and 2FA on the paid tiers. The engine is open source under AGPL-3.0 and self-hostable with Docker; the hosted cloud is metered in credits. Built by Ikonomos Inc., a Y Combinator S23 company.
Free gives a one-time 5,000 credits (~170 actions) and 1 concurrent run. Hobby $29/month for 30,000 credits (~1,200 actions) and 10 concurrent runs. Pro $149/month for 150,000 credits (~6,200 actions), 25 concurrent runs, residential proxies and 2FA. Enterprise is quoted. Self-hosting the AGPL engine avoids the credit meter but not model costs.
Use tool ↗The strongest open-source option for agentic browser work, and the intent-based targeting really does survive UI changes that break Playwright scripts. Credits, not runs, are the unit you buy, and complex pages burn them fast - the ~170 free actions go in an afternoon. Self-hosting is a genuine escape hatch, but AGPL-3.0 has licensing consequences if you embed it in a product.
Watch out: Actions counts on the pricing page are estimates - a page-heavy workflow can consume several times the credits of a simple one, so budget from a real trial run, not the table.
