Skyvern automates work that lives inside someone else's website - downloading invoices, filling application forms, pulling data out of portals, logging into accounts. It pairs vision models with computer vision to find the right button or field by what it is for, so a layout change does not break the run the way an XPath would. It handles CAPTCHAs, stored credentials and 2FA on the paid tiers. The engine is open source under AGPL-3.0 and self-hostable with Docker; the hosted cloud is metered in credits. Pros & cons of Skyvern
The strongest open-source option for agentic browser work, and the intent-based targeting really does survive UI changes that break Playwright scripts. Credits, not runs, are the unit you buy, and complex pages burn them fast - the ~170 free actions go in an afternoon. Self-hosting is a genuine escape hatch, but AGPL-3.0 has licensing consequences if you embed it in a product.
