Use tool ↗About Axiom
Axiom is a Chrome extension in which you assemble browser bots step by step, click, type, extract, loop, without writing code, then run them either on your own machine or on the vendor's cloud browsers on a schedule. Newer routes let you describe a workflow in the builder or generate one in Claude Code and import it, and a step API exposes the same building blocks to your own code, with Playwright and Puppeteer able to connect to their browsers. Paid tiers meter cloud runtime in hours per month while desktop runs stay unmetered. It suits ops and marketing people automating repetitive web work more than engineers, who would reach for Playwright directly.

Pros & cons of Axiom
The split between unmetered desktop runs and metered cloud hours is Axiom's most useful design decision: long jobs can stay on your own machine while only scheduled work consumes quota. The catch is that the cheapest tier gives five cloud hours and no API, so anything you want automated end to end starts at $50.
Pros
- Desktop runs have no runtime or concurrency limit on any plan
- Stored logins and TOTP support so bots can pass two-factor prompts
- Playwright and Puppeteer can connect to their hosted browsers
- Registered UK company with a company number published in the terms
Cons
- No free plan, only a two-hour trial
- Webhooks and API access require the $50 Pro tier or higher
- Starter is limited to one cloud bot with a one-hour cap per run
Best for
- Ops and marketing staff automating repetitive site work without code
- Scheduled scraping and form-filling jobs that must run unattended
- Teams that want a visual builder but occasional code-level control
Not for
- Engineers comfortable writing and hosting Playwright scripts themselves
- Anyone needing to automate sites that actively block browser automation
Watch out: Cloud plans cap a single run's length (one hour on Starter, three on Pro Max), so a long job has to be split or moved to the desktop runner.
