Overview

About R2 Copilot

R2 Copilot is a privacy layer that puts several AI models, including GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Llama and DeepSeek, inside the tools a team already uses: add-ins for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, a browser client and extension, and a Telegram bot. Prompts are encrypted on the device with the vendor's patented in-flight scheme and reach the model without being attributable to the user. Higher tiers add SSO, data-loss-prevention rules, audit log export and self-hosted model endpoints, and developers get one key for a native API and an OpenAI-compatible one. The terms name Verizon Solutions FZ LLE as the operator and require a Microsoft 365 account to register.

Editorial verdict

Pros & cons of R2 Copilot

medium confidence

R2 Copilot sells confidentiality rather than model quality: prompts encrypted before they leave the device, a choice of GPT, Claude, Gemini and other models, and delivery inside the Office and Google apps where the sensitive documents already live. For a lawyer or a clinician that framing is worth something. The problem is that a privacy product publishes no address, no jurisdiction and no audit — you are asked to trust claims you cannot verify.

Pros

  • Add-ins for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace apps
  • Prompts encrypted on-device before reaching the model
  • GPT, Claude, Gemini and other models under one subscription
  • Telegram bot, browser client and developer API alongside the add-ins

Cons

  • Terms still require a Microsoft 365 account to register
  • No standing free plan, only a trial
  • Team pricing is flat, so a team of two pays the same $249 as a team of ten
  • SSO, DLP rules and audit export only start on the $999 Business tier

Best for

  • professionals handling client material inside Outlook, Gmail and Word
  • teams that need several AI models behind one governed access point
  • Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace shops that want add-ins rather than a separate app

Not for

  • individuals who only need one model and no compliance controls
  • buyers who need a verifiable vendor and a signed data agreement below the Enterprise tier

Watch out: The terms name the operator as "Verizon Solutions FZ LLE" with no address or governing jurisdiction — check who you are contracting with before routing confidential material through it.
