Use tool ↗About EasyChat AI
EasyChat AI is a Windows desktop chat app from Berlin-based WunderApps that puts OpenAI models behind a native interface with light and dark themes, readable lists, tables and code, and a compact Quick Chat flyout that opens over whatever you are working on. It is distributed through the Microsoft Store and is free for 20 requests a day. An optional in-app Unlimited upgrade lifts the cap under a fair-use policy, and a separate upgrade connects your own OpenAI API key so requests go straight to OpenAI and are billed by them. Upgrade prices are shown only inside the app and the Store.

Pros & cons of EasyChat AI
A convenience wrapper, not an AI product of its own: you get a nicer Windows shell, with a Quick Chat flyout, around OpenAI's models. The bring-your-own-key upgrade is the most sensible buy if you already hold OpenAI API access.
Pros
- 20 free requests a day with no account or API key needed
- Bring-your-own-key option sends requests straight to OpenAI
- Identifiable German publisher with a full legal imprint
Cons
- Depends entirely on OpenAI models with no alternatives
- Thin feature set next to multi-model chat clients
- Windows only
- Upgrade prices appear only in the app and the Microsoft Store, not on the website
Best for
- Windows users who want an AI chat as a native app rather than a browser tab
- People with an OpenAI key who prefer paying OpenAI directly for usage
- Light users who fit inside 20 free requests a day
Not for
- Users wanting multiple models (Claude, Gemini, local LLMs) in one client
- macOS or Linux users
Watch out: OpenAI ships its own official Windows ChatGPT app - check what this wrapper still adds for your workflow before paying.
