Midjourney renders images from text prompts, reachable either from its own browser workspace or through the original Discord bot, with variations, upscaling, style and character references. Output leans illustrative rather than photographic, and recent model versions add image-to-video. Midjourney still produces the most immediately attractive images of any generator, and it is still the least programmable. Buy it if you are art-directing by eye; look elsewhere if a machine has to call it.
