Free to start; paid memberships share one monthly usage pool that does not roll over. The vendor's help centre lists only domestic yuan prices (Go ¥49, Plus ¥99, Pro ¥199, Max ¥699 a month, about 20% less billed yearly; screenshot dated 12 October 2026), and the membership page did not render a USD figure to our fetches, so none is recorded. API usage is billed separately per million tokens.
Use tool ↗About Kimi
Kimi is the assistant from Chinese lab Moonshot AI, running on its own K-series models; K3 is presented as built for agentic coding and knowledge work. Next to chat it offers plugins, scheduled tasks, slide, document and spreadsheet generation, deep research, website publishing and parallel agent swarms, with Kimi Work, Kimi Code, a Chrome and Edge extension and Kimi Claw, a hosted OpenClaw agent, as separate surfaces. Paid memberships share one monthly usage pool across all of these, and the same models are sold to developers through Moonshot's API per million tokens. Desktop apps cover Windows and macOS and mobile apps iOS, Android and HarmonyOS; the interface we were served is Chinese-language.

Pros & cons of Kimi
Kimi is the most agent-shaped of the big Chinese assistants: scheduled tasks, parallel agent swarms, slides, spreadsheets and deep research sit next to the chat box rather than in separate products. The K-series models are competitive and cheap through the API. The friction for a Western buyer is practical - a mostly Chinese interface, Chinese data jurisdiction, and membership prices the vendor publishes only in yuan.
Pros
- Runs on Moonshot's own K-series models rather than reselling someone else's
- Scheduled tasks, agent swarms, deep research, slides and spreadsheets are built in
- Apps for web, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android plus a browser extension
- The same models are available through a developer API at low per-token rates
Cons
- The vendor publishes membership prices in yuan only; no USD figure was legible during this check
- Interface and most documentation are in Chinese
- Data is processed by a Chinese provider, which rules it out for many enterprises
- The entry Go plan leaves out Kimi Code, which starts at Plus
Best for
- Developers wanting frontier-class models at low per-token rates
- Agentic coding and long-context document work
- Users comfortable working in a Chinese-language interface
Not for
- Organisations that cannot send data to a Chinese provider
- Anyone who needs an English-first interface and support
Watch out: All member features draw on one monthly pool: a deployed Kimi Claw cloud host deducts about 0.6% of it every day even when idle, and a website published by the agent keeps deducting until you unpublish it.
