What our research says

Document360

The knowledge base underneath is conventional; what you pay for is the AI layer on top - cited search, a chatbot, decision trees, an MCP endpoint - plus enterprise plumbing like SSO and SCIM. Kovai has shipped business software long enough that this is not a weekend project. The catch is budgeting: nothing is priced publicly, and the quote is built from six variables at once.

Pros

  • AI search answers with a citation back to the source article, so readers can verify the answer
  • Ships an MCP server, so ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot can be pointed at the knowledge base
  • SSO and SCIM plus 60+ integrations (Slack, Salesforce, Zendesk) cover the enterprise checklist
  • Imports existing PDF and Word documentation instead of forcing a rewrite

Cons

  • No published price at any tier - you fill in a questionnaire and wait for a quote
  • The quote scales on workspaces, languages, team accounts and AI usage together, so the bill is hard to predict
  • The 14-day trial is the only way to evaluate it without a sales conversation

Siedesk

A cheap way to get a branded help centre on your own domain without bolting one onto a full helpdesk suite. Ten dollars a month for a custom domain, SSL and SEO settings is well under what Zendesk or Intercom charge for the same surface. The limits are structural: one workspace and one seat at entry, and no visible API or integrations.

Pros

  • Custom domain, SSL and SEO controls included from the $9.99 tier
  • GPT-assisted article drafting built in
  • Separate internal and public workspaces on every plan
  • Search analytics showing what customers looked for

Cons

  • Starter is genuinely one seat and one public workspace
  • No API, no helpdesk or ticketing integration advertised
  • No company entity, address or country disclosed in the footer or legal pages

Which one fits

Choose Document360 if you need

  • Support teams that want a public help centre and an AI assistant over the same content
  • Enterprises with SSO, SCIM and multi-language requirements
  • Documentation that needs to be queryable by ChatGPT or Claude through MCP

Choose Siedesk if you need

  • Small SaaS teams needing a public help centre fast
  • Running an internal wiki and a public FAQ from one tool
  • French-speaking teams (the product is bilingual, French-first)
