What our research says

Bot9

Bot9 is a straightforward doc-trained support chatbot from the team that used it to cut its own support headcount, so the multilingual auto-resolution claims are at least grounded in the vendor's own production use. At $199/month for a single bot capped at 500 responses, it's priced for small teams rather than high-volume support desks, and the entry tier has no API.

Pros

  • Backed by the vendor's own real-world support deployment at Dukaan
  • Supports 150+ languages
  • Integrates with major helpdesk, chat, and e-commerce platforms out of the box
  • Includes human handoff rather than forcing full automation

Cons

  • No free tier; entry plan is $199/month for a single bot
  • Response cap of 500/month on Starter is low for busy support queues
  • API access requires the $499/month Professional tier

Zendesk AI

Zendesk AI is the sensible choice for a team already on Zendesk Suite and a poor reason to move there: every piece of it assumes Zendesk tickets, Zendesk knowledge and Zendesk agents. The per-resolution meter is fair in principle - you pay when the bot actually closes something - but the included allowance is tiny, Copilot is another $50 per agent on top of a $115 seat, and QA and workforce management are further line items, so a fully AI-enabled seat costs several times the headline plan price. Scoring 100 percent of conversations for QA is the feature most rivals still sample.

Pros

  • Automated resolutions bill on outcomes, with a committed rate of $1.50 and no charge for failed hand-offs
  • Quality Assurance covers all interactions, not a sample
  • AI agents act in connected systems and work across chat, email and messaging channels
  • 14-day trial includes Copilot on the Professional plan

Cons

  • Copilot needs Professional or above and adds $50 per agent per month on a $115 seat
  • Included resolutions are 5 or 10 per agent per month; real deflection volume is all paid extra
  • QA, workforce management and advanced AI agents are separate add-ons quoted through sales
  • Annual-commitment prices are the headline; monthly billing costs up to 30 percent more

Which one fits

Choose Bot9 if you need

  • Small e-commerce or SaaS teams wanting a doc-trained support bot without engineering effort
  • Support teams already using Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Shopify who want a native integration
  • Businesses needing multilingual support coverage

Choose Zendesk AI if you need

  • Suite Professional and Enterprise customers with the ticket volume to justify committed resolutions
  • Support leaders who want QA across every conversation rather than a sampled few
  • Teams whose knowledge base is already in Zendesk and want it maintained from ticket data
