What our research says

Profound

Profound is the enterprise end of AI-visibility measurement: it covers more answer engines than most rivals, adds crawler analytics and ChatGPT Shopping that the cheaper trackers lack, and has the funding and customer list to still exist next year. The price is the reason to hesitate - there is no published figure, the free trial is seven days of fifty prompts, and the self-serve agency plan exists only as a line in the FAQ. Mid-market teams will get most of the signal from a tracker with a public price; brands with real budget and a procurement team are the audience here.

Pros

  • Tracks up to nine answer engines, including AI Overviews, Copilot and DeepSeek, not just ChatGPT
  • Agent Analytics shows which AI crawlers visit and cite the site, a layer most trackers skip
  • Prompt Volumes estimates real user questions rather than relying on your own prompt list
  • SOC 2 Type II, SSO and an API, so it passes enterprise review

Cons

  • No published price; the only listed plans are a free trial and a custom Enterprise contract
  • Trial is 7 days, 50 prompts and three engines, with no exports or history
  • No legal entity, address or terms page found on the site
  • The agency plan is named in the FAQ but not in the plan table

WhyIQ

WhyIQ's CRO Scanner is useful specifically because it works on a page before it has real visitors, simulating archetypes instead of waiting for analytics to accumulate; the AI Radar half is a separate, smaller product bolted on for tracking whether AI answer engines cite a business. Both tools are report generators rather than tools that fix anything themselves, so the findings still need to be implemented by hand.

Pros

  • Works on pages that have no live traffic yet, including raw HTML uploads
  • Simulates roughly 20 distinct visitor archetypes per scan instead of one generic score
  • Reports are tied to specific page elements rather than vague advice
  • AI Radar covers five separate AI answer engines in one tracked report

Cons

  • Findings come from simulation, not real user session data
  • Two separate pricing tracks for Scanner and Radar mean the real monthly cost adds up if both are needed
