What our research says

monday.com

The most visual of the big work platforms, and the easiest to get a non-technical team onto. The AI layer is broad — agents, notetaker, triage, workflow builder — but metered by credits, which makes it hard to predict what heavy use costs. Splitting CRM, service and dev into separately priced products means the real bill is usually higher than the headline seat price.

Pros

  • Boards, automations, forms, docs and dashboards without writing code
  • Four product lines share one platform: work management, CRM, service, dev
  • AI notetaker, ticket triage, workflow builder and agent workforce built in
  • Public company with a long track record, founded 2012 and listed

Cons

  • Free plan is capped at two seats, effectively a trial
  • AI features consume a separate credit pool on top of seat cost
  • CRM and Service lines are priced well above the work-management tiers
  • Pricing is billing-country dependent, so quoted currency and figures shift by region

Pipefy

Pipefy goes past task boards into real orchestration — forms, conditional routing, SLAs, and now agents that read a submission and decide what happens next. The pre-built AI Studios cut setup time for procurement and claims teams who would otherwise model everything from scratch. The catch is that everything past the small free tier is sales-quoted, so you cannot budget from the website.

Pros

  • Free Starter tier runs up to five processes and ten users with AI included
  • Pre-built AI Studios for procurement, credit decisioning, onboarding and claims
  • Public GraphQL API with its own developer docs and changelog
  • Messaging integrations into WhatsApp, Teams and Slack rather than email only

Cons

  • No published price for Business or Enterprise — both require a sales conversation
  • Enterprise-shaped product that is heavy for a team of three
  • AI Studio templates still need real configuration; they are starting points, not finished processes

  • Ops teams replacing spreadsheet-and-email approval chains
  • Procurement, finance and HR processes that need audit trails and SLAs
  • Companies that want AI agents inside an existing workflow rather than a separate chatbot
