Use tool ↗About moar
moar is a Chrome extension that extracts the structure out of an uploaded document and outputs clean Markdown or CSV sized for a given AI chat tool's context window, which it claims can cut token usage by up to 95 percent per document. Processing happens locally in the browser rather than on a remote server, so files are not uploaded elsewhere. The free version covers structure extraction and platform-aware sizing for files up to 50 MB; a 12.99 USD one-time upgrade, discounted from a regular 19.99 USD, adds smart section selection, chunking for larger files, and combining multiple documents into one output. A Mac desktop app is listed as planned but not yet available.

Pros & cons of moar
moar targets a specific, real annoyance: pasting long documents into an AI chat and hitting its context limit. Processing locally in the browser instead of uploading to a server is a reasonable privacy tradeoff for a document tool. It is a narrow utility, a Chrome extension with a one-time upgrade, not a platform, so it will not help with anything beyond preparing documents for AI chat.
Pros
- Runs locally in the browser instead of uploading documents to a server
- One-time payment instead of a recurring subscription for the paid tier
- Free tier alone handles files up to 50 MB with no cost
Cons
- Chrome only; the planned Mac app was not yet available at the time of review
- No API, so it cannot be automated outside the extension itself
Best for
- People who regularly paste long documents into AI chat tools
- Users who want document processing to stay local rather than uploaded to a server
- Anyone who wants a one-time purchase instead of a subscription
Not for
- Users on browsers other than Chrome, since there is no other extension or app yet
- Teams wanting an API to automate document conversion at scale
