moar
moar targets a specific, real annoyance: pasting long documents into an AI chat and hitting its context limit. Processing locally in the browser instead of uploading to a server is a reasonable privacy tradeoff for a document tool. It is a narrow utility, a Chrome extension with a one-time upgrade, not a platform, so it will not help with anything beyond preparing documents for AI chat.
Pros
- Runs locally in the browser instead of uploading documents to a server
- One-time payment instead of a recurring subscription for the paid tier
- Free tier alone handles files up to 50 MB with no cost
Cons
- Chrome only; the planned Mac app was not yet available at the time of review
- No API, so it cannot be automated outside the extension itself
