Miro AI vs MyMap.AI

Two fact sheets from our own research, side by side — pricing, platforms, API access and status re-checked by us rather than quoted from the vendors. Miro AI publishes a starting price ($8); MyMap.AI does not. Both have a free tier. Only Miro AI ships a public API.

What our research says

Miro AI

The reason Miro AI beats a bolted-on chat box is context: the canvas is the prompt, so clustering, summarising and drafting land back on the board where the team already works. The cost model is the catch — AI credits are small on every tier and reset monthly, so real use pushes you upward. If your team is not already in Miro, none of this justifies a switch.

Pros

  • Uses existing board content as context, not a blank prompt
  • Prebuilt Playbooks for planning, prototyping and research
  • 250+ integrations plus a developer platform and MCP server
  • Free tier still includes 10 AI credits a month

Cons

  • AI credits are tightly capped: 25 per member on the $8 tier
  • Enterprise requires a 30-member minimum
  • Only worth paying for if the team is already on Miro

MyMap.AI

A reasonable shortcut when you want structure out of a messy idea and cannot be bothered to drag boxes around. It is a thinking aid, not a diagramming tool: anything destined for a deck or a spec will need cleanup elsewhere.

Pros

  • Output is an editable node graph, not a static image, so you can keep working on it
  • Accepts URLs as input, which beats pasting long text into a chat box
  • Covers several diagram types (maps, flowcharts, timelines, SWOT) in one canvas

Cons

  • Aggressive bot protection blocks even basic verification, and there is no public company information
  • Auto-layout gets crowded fast on large maps
  • Free credits are small enough that serious use hits the paywall quickly
  • Published pricing across review sites is contradictory and visibly out of date

Which one fits

Choose Miro AI if you need

  • teams that already run workshops in Miro
  • summarising and clustering sticky-note sessions
  • turning board content into briefs or PRDs

Choose MyMap.AI if you need

  • Turning a long article or research paper into a one-screen map
  • Early brainstorming where the shape of the idea matters more than the styling
  • Students and educators building study maps from source material
