What our research says

Kraftful

Strong at the specific job of turning thousands of unstructured comments into a ranked, quote-backed list a PM can act on. The catch is that it now belongs to Amplitude, so the standalone product is a transition path, not a long-term independent bet.

Pros

  • Around 30 first-party connectors, so ingestion is configuration rather than engineering
  • Insights link back to the source quotes, which makes findings defensible in a roadmap review
  • Jira and Linear export closes the loop from insight to ticket
  • Slack digests push findings to people who will never open the tool

Cons

  • Pricing is hidden behind a password-protected page, which slows any procurement conversation
  • Now Amplitude-owned and being made native to that platform, so standalone continuity is uncertain
  • Free tier's analysis allowance is small relative to real feedback volumes
  • The gap between Pro and Team pricing has historically been very wide

Productboard

Productboard is an established product management platform used by large, well-known companies, now layering AI features like automatic insight extraction and spec drafting on top of its core feedback-and-roadmap workflow. It's a mature, enterprise-oriented tool rather than a lightweight app, so smaller teams may find the seat-based pricing and feature depth more than they need.

Pros

  • Long operating history (founded 2014) with named enterprise customers
  • AI agent (Spark) adds context-aware insight generation and spec drafting
  • API and MCP server support for integrating with other tools

Cons

  • Per-maker seat pricing gets expensive quickly for larger product teams
  • Business plan requires a minimum of 2 makers and Enterprise requires 5, raising the effective entry cost

  • Consolidating Zendesk, Intercom, G2 and survey feedback into one themed view
  • PMs who want evidence-linked feature requests instead of anecdotes in a spreadsheet

Choose Productboard if you need

  • Product teams at mid-size to large companies centralizing feedback and roadmaps
  • Organizations wanting AI-assisted insight extraction from large feedback volumes
