Slack bot that collects async standup updates and posts AI summaries instead of holding the meeting.
HowsThisGoing runs daily check-ins inside Slack. It prompts each team member on a schedule, collects their written update, then posts an AI summary of the thread or channel so nobody has to sit through a standup call. Higher tiers add weekly and monthly rollups, a free-form query over past updates, and a GitHub connection that pulls commit and pull-request activity into the picture. It is a small independent product credited to Kanishk Razdan. The site refused our automated requests with an HTTP 403, so the details recorded here come from its public listing and third-party reviews rather than the vendor pages.
A limited free tier exists; Basic is $30/month or $240/year and Ultimate $50/month or $400/year, with GitHub integration and 50 monthly free-form queries on the top tier. Figures come from third-party reviews because the site blocked direct fetches.
Use tool ↗If your team already lives in Slack, replacing the daily call with a scheduled prompt and an AI digest is a straightforward win, and the GitHub link makes summaries less dependent on people remembering what they did. The product is small, Slack-only and single-maker, and $30 a month is steep for what is fundamentally a standup bot.
Watch out: Our requests to the site were refused with HTTP 403; confirm current pricing and the GitHub integration yourself before buying.
