What our research says

Glean

Glean is the reference implementation of permission-aware enterprise search, and permissions are the hard part everyone else underestimates. It is also priced so that only companies with a real sprawl problem can justify it.

Pros

  • Permission inheritance from each connected system is done properly, not approximated
  • Answers cite and link the underlying documents rather than paraphrasing them away
  • Connector coverage across the mainstream SaaS estate is broad
  • Commercially solid: about $300M ARR by May 2026 at a $7.2B valuation

Cons

  • No published price anywhere, and contracts start in six figures
  • Value depends entirely on connector coverage of your specific stack
  • Index quality inherits whatever mess exists in the source systems
  • Overlaps increasingly with Microsoft and Google's bundled offerings, which cost nothing extra

Jigso Sidekick

The useful idea is inversion: instead of asking a chatbot what happened, Jigso monitors your connected apps and tells you when a deal slips or an action item goes unowned, surfacing it in Slack where the team already is. It now exposes an MCP endpoint and an API, which makes it wire-able. The problems are commercial rather than technical — nothing is priced, the Sidekick name buyers may be searching for is gone, and every headline metric on the site is the vendor's own.

Pros

  • Monitors connected apps and pushes alerts rather than requiring a query
  • Automatic action-item detection and reminders drawn from conversations
  • Cross-app search over pipeline, tickets, clients, files and topics
  • Publishes an MCP endpoint and an API for connecting other tools

Cons

  • No published pricing at all — demo request is the only route
  • The Sidekick product name has been retired with no redirect target explaining it
  • Headline figures on risk detection and churn accuracy are vendor-supplied and unaudited
  • No company address, country or founding year is disclosed on the site

Which one fits

Choose Glean if you need

  • Organisations above roughly 500 people whose knowledge is scattered across a dozen SaaS tools
  • Regulated or security-conscious buyers who need source-system permissions honoured exactly
  • Teams building internal agents that need governed access to company context

Choose Jigso Sidekick if you need

  • Revenue and customer-success teams tracking risk across Slack, Salesforce and email
  • Meeting prep that needs a cross-app answer rather than a single-source search
  • Slack-first organisations that resist adding another dashboard
