EbSynth takes a hand-painted or retouched keyframe and carries that treatment through the remaining frames of a clip using a patch-based texture synthesis algorithm rather than a generative model, which keeps brushstrokes and fine detail stable from frame to frame. Version 2 moved the tool into the browser and runs roughly ten times faster, so edits preview close to real time; an optional image generator can draft keyframes. Studios can pay for a Windows desktop build that renders locally and never uploads footage.
