AutoPod is a pack of editing plug-ins that assemble a first cut for you inside the editor you already use. The Multi-Camera Editor switches between up to ten cameras and ten microphones based on who is speaking, the Jump Cut Editor removes silence below a decibel threshold you set, and the Social Clip Creator turns marked sections into 16:9, 4:5 and 9:16 sequences with reframing. Results land on the timeline as an ordinary sequence, so every cut stays adjustable by hand. It was built for Adobe Premiere Pro, and a beta for DaVinci Resolve now runs on the same key.

Pros & cons of AutoPod
If you edit video podcasts in Premiere, this is close to a no-brainer: it removes the most tedious hours of multicam switching and leaves the result fully editable. Resolve users can now run it too, but that version is a beta and the free edition of Resolve only works on older releases.
Pros
- Output is a normal sequence, so you keep full manual control over every cut
- Handles up to ten cameras and ten microphones, which most competing automations do not
- 30-day trial is long enough to run several real episodes through it
- Three tools (multicam, jump cut, social clips) in one licence, and the same key works in Resolve
Cons
- Licence is bound to one computer, so laptop-plus-workstation editors need two keys
- No volume or team pricing; scaling means buying duplicate keys on one email
- Resolve support is a beta, and the free edition of Resolve works only up to version 19.0.3
- Multicam editing needs a separate audio track per speaker
Best for
- Video podcast editors cutting weekly multicam episodes in Premiere Pro
- Studios producing interview or panel shows with three to ten fixed cameras
- Editors who want automation but refuse to give up a real NLE timeline
Not for
- Anyone editing in Final Cut, Avid or a browser-based tool, which the vendor says it has no plans to support
- Solo creators posting occasionally, for whom $29 a month is steep for a few episodes
- Single-microphone or single-speaker shows, which the multicam editor does not handle
Watch out: One key equals one machine: moving between an edit bay and a laptop is a second $29 a month, and there is no enterprise plan to soften it.
