Guided flows for consumer disputes, cancellations and paperwork
DoNotPay packages consumer-rights chores into form-driven web flows: contesting parking tickets and bank fees, drafting demand letters, cancelling subscriptions, chasing unclaimed funds and preparing small-claims paperwork. You answer questions and the service assembles the document or submission on your behalf. In February 2025 the US Federal Trade Commission finalised an order barring the company from claiming its output stands in for a lawyer, with $193,000 in monetary relief and notice to past subscribers.
Sold as a recurring subscription that unlocks the whole tool set; no public pricing page was reachable during this check, and third-party reports quote figures ranging from $12 monthly to $36 per quarter.
Use tool ↗Useful as a cheap template-and-letter machine for low-stakes consumer annoyances, and nothing more — the FTC has formally ruled that presenting it as a lawyer substitute is deceptive. Treat any output as a starting draft you are responsible for.
Watch out: It is a subscription, not a per-task purchase — people routinely sign up for one dispute and get billed again months later.
