Capacity turns a plain-language description into a deployed web app with member accounts, saved data, payments, hosting and a custom domain, aimed at non-technical founders and small businesses. You can build with its own agent, which spends plan credits, or connect it to Claude or ChatGPT and build from that chat on your own AI subscription, which is unlimited on every paid plan. A separate Mac app, Capacity Desktop, runs Claude Code, ChatGPT or an API key locally and pushes code to your own GitHub and Vercel; it is free for one project and sold as a one-time lifetime licence. The full codebase can be downloaded from the entry plan up. It is made by RocketSocial SASU in France, founded by two co-founders in late 2024.

Pros & cons of Capacity
A reasonable on-ramp for non-coders who want a working app with accounts and payments rather than a static prototype, and the option to build from Claude or ChatGPT on a subscription you already pay for takes the sting out of credit-metered building. Code download now comes with the $25 plan. The built-in agent still burns a variable number of credits per message, so its real cost is hard to predict.
