No figures published: the pricing route now redirects to a 'talk to an expert' form titled 'Get a quote from an expert'. The site's copy mentions a 7-day free trial on all plans and a startup discount for companies under two years old with less than $1M ARR, but no plan prices.
Use tool ↗About Abstra
Abstra is a Brazilian company, founded in 2020 and part of Y Combinator's Summer 2021 batch, that has finance teams write their operations as Python workflows instead of spreadsheets and shared checklists. Reporting, reconciliations, approval chains and ERP integrations are built, versioned, deployed and then monitored from a dashboard, with AI helping draft the steps and templates. Customers named publicly include Accenture and Stone. Two caveats for buyers: the marketing site is a JavaScript shell that renders nothing for crawlers, and the pricing page publishes no figures - the site funnels you to a scheduled assessment call.

Pros & cons of Abstra
Abstra is aimed at finance teams that already have someone who can write Python and are tired of month-end living in spreadsheets and Slack threads. Building processes as versioned code instead of clickable flows is the real argument. The friction is commercial rather than technical: nothing is self-serve, no price is published, and the site itself is hostile to anyone trying to evaluate it without a sales call.
Pros
- Workflows are Python, so they can be versioned, reviewed and tested like any other code
- Covers reporting, reconciliation, approvals and ERP integration in one runtime
- Monitoring dashboard for deployed workflow runs rather than fire-and-forget scripts
- Y Combinator-backed with named enterprise references including Accenture and Stone
Cons
- No published pricing and no self-serve signup - everything routes to a sales call
- Requires Python literacy that many finance teams do not have
- The public site does not render for crawlers, making independent evaluation hard
- Small team, reported at around 18 people
Best for
- Finance ops teams with at least one Python-capable person
- Companies replacing manual month-end reconciliations and approval chains
- Mid-size firms with ERP integrations to script
Not for
- Small teams that want a self-serve, click-together automation tool
- Buyers who need a published price before booking a call
Watch out: Both the homepage and the pricing page are client-rendered shells that return only a loading state to automated fetches, so the only way to see the product is to book the call.
