What our research says

Writesonic

This is not the AI copywriter the catalogs still describe — it is a GEO tracking suite priced like one, and at $79 to start you are paying enterprise-monitoring money for a three-engine view of your own brand.

Pros

  • Daily prompt and answer tracking is the core of the product, not a bolt-on dashboard
  • Site audits, content generation and publishing sit in the same tool as the monitoring
  • A genuine free tier still exists, with no card required

Cons

  • Starter watches three engines out of ten; the interesting ones are all Enterprise
  • Month-to-month costs about 25% more than the advertised annual rate
  • The old writing-tool positioning is gone, so most third-party reviews describe a different product
  • Prompt and article caps are daily and monthly, so a burst of work stalls until the counter resets

Yarnit

Yarnit has moved upmarket from a consumer content app to an enterprise agent platform, and it now competes for marketing-ops budget rather than individual writer subscriptions. The product-catalogue automation is the piece worth testing; the generic copy tools are not differentiated.

Pros

  • SaaS, API and on-premise deployment options, which most rivals in this bracket do not offer
  • Brand knowledge base and RAG grounding rather than prompt-only generation
  • Covers planning through creative production in one workflow instead of separate tools
  • Registered Indian company with published team and named directors

Cons

  • No public pricing page at all, so evaluation requires signup or a sales call
  • Positioning changed substantially, so older catalogue descriptions no longer match the product
  • Small funded startup, well under $1M raised, so vendor risk is real for enterprise commitments
  • Breadth across 85+ mini-apps makes it hard to judge depth in any one of them

Which one fits

Choose Writesonic if you need

  • Brands that already know they are losing citations inside ChatGPT and want it measured
  • Agencies reporting AI-answer share of voice to clients month over month
  • Teams that want prompt tracking and article production billed on one invoice

Choose Yarnit if you need

  • Retail and ecommerce teams generating product detail pages across large catalogues
  • In-house marketing teams that need brand-guideline enforcement across many contributors
  • Enterprises in regulated or on-premise environments that cannot use hosted-only tools
