VideoGen takes a prompt, a script or a link and produces a complete video: it writes narration, selects stock or generated b-roll to match each line, adds a synthetic voiceover in more than forty languages, burns in subtitles and lays music underneath, then drops the result into a browser timeline for cleanup. Around that core sit image-to-video, avatars, sound effects, background removal, upscaling, transcription and translation of an existing clip, and the vendor now pitches agent-assisted steps for ad, explainer and localisation work at volume. VideoGen, Inc. is registered in California and was founded in 2022 by Anton Koenig and David Grossman. Every plan is a per-user seat with a monthly credit allowance, and API and MCP access are included in each tier rather than sold separately.

Pros & cons of VideoGen
This is the assembly-line end of AI video: you are not directing shots, you are handing over a script and getting a watchable explainer or ad back with narration, footage and captions already in place. The timeline editor afterwards is what separates it from the one-click generators — you can fix the bits it got wrong instead of regenerating. Credits, not the subscription, are what actually limits you, and the only price the vendor shows is the annual one.
