Use tool ↗About STORYD
STORYD turns a written topic into a business slide deck by first asking which narrative structure to use — an executive update, a recommendation, a status report — then filling that skeleton with generated content. Decks are edited in the browser and pushed out to PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote or Canva rather than living in a proprietary viewer. Paid plans add branded themes, real-time team editing and, on the top tier, programmatic deck creation.

Pros & cons of STORYD
Worth a look if your problem is that your slides ramble, not that they look plain — STORYD sells narrative scaffolding first and visuals second. If you want a designed deck out of the box, the design-led generators will get you further.
Pros
- structure-first flow actually addresses the common failure of unfocused business decks
- exports to PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote and Canva, so nothing is trapped in the tool
- cheap entry at $24/month monthly, dropping to $18 on annual billing
- API access exists on the Automate tier, which is rare for a deck generator
Cons
- the free plan is 5 lifetime credits, not 5 per month
- visual polish trails design-led competitors
- small two-founder operation with a thin public footprint, so support depth is unproven
- the jump from Pro to Automate is $24 to $150 monthly with no tier in between
Best for
- consultants and analysts who need an exec-ready update fast
- internal recommendation and status decks
- non-designers who struggle to structure an argument, not to style it
- teams that want to finish the deck in PowerPoint or Google Slides
Not for
- pitch decks that need bespoke visual design
- data-heavy decks wired to a live warehouse
- anyone who wants one editor for the whole deck lifecycle
Watch out: The free plan's 5 credits are one-time, so you get a single sitting to judge output quality before paying.
