Purple AI is the analyst layer of SentinelOne's Singularity platform: an analyst types a question in plain language and it runs the hunt across SentinelOne telemetry and connected third-party sources normalised to OCSF, returns the evidence, and recommends the next step. It auto-triages alerts by risk, writes investigation summaries, documents the work in notebooks that can be rerun, and hands pre-approved responses to Singularity Hyperautomation, which SentinelOne markets as an autonomous SOC. A Purple AI MCP server exposes the same data and workflows to a customer's own AI agents. It is sold only as part of SentinelOne's platform to security operations teams, with no self-serve trial or public price; general availability was announced in April 2024.

Pros & cons of SentinelOne Purple AI
Purple AI is worth evaluating only if you already run, or are about to buy, SentinelOne's Singularity platform: it reads that platform's data lake, and nothing else, so it is an upgrade to an existing SOC stack rather than a product you can adopt on its own. For teams on Singularity it turns query writing and alert triage into plain-language work with a notebook trail, and the MCP server is a sensible way to pull the same answers into your own agents. Expect procurement rather than a trial, and no price until a quote.
