What our research says

CrowdStrike Charlotte AI

If your SOC already runs on Falcon, Charlotte AI is the obvious first AI analyst to switch on: it is trained against the decisions of CrowdStrike's own managed detection team, it starts free with a monthly credit allowance, and the agentic triage removes the dullest tier-one work. If you are not a Falcon customer it is irrelevant, because there is nothing to buy on its own, and the credit model means heavy use becomes a line item you negotiate rather than a price you read.

Pros

  • Agentic triage claims over 98% agreement with CrowdStrike's managed detection analysts on first-party detections
  • Investigations fan out across endpoint, identity, cloud and network in parallel instead of one query at a time
  • No-code agent and workflow builders (AgentWorks, Agentic SOAR) with human approval gates
  • Free to enable for qualifying customers with 50 AI credits a month, so a pilot costs nothing up front

Cons

  • Locked to the Falcon platform; no standalone licence or third-party telemetry
  • Credit-metered beyond the free allowance, with the credit price not published
  • Headline savings (70% less effort, 90% faster response) are customer anecdotes on the vendor page, not independent tests
  • Accuracy figures cover CrowdStrike's own detections; third-party alerts routed through Falcon are not in that number

SentinelOne Purple AI

Purple AI is worth evaluating only if you already run, or are about to buy, SentinelOne's Singularity platform: it reads that platform's data lake, and nothing else, so it is an upgrade to an existing SOC stack rather than a product you can adopt on its own. For teams on Singularity it turns query writing and alert triage into plain-language work with a notebook trail, and the MCP server is a sensible way to pull the same answers into your own agents. Expect procurement rather than a trial, and no price until a quote.

Pros

  • Plain-language hunting over OCSF-normalised SentinelOne and third-party telemetry, with the generated query shown
  • Auto-triage, verdict justification and rerunnable investigation notebooks leave an audit trail
  • Responses run through Singularity Hyperautomation inside pre-approved policies, and every automated action is logged
  • An MCP server exposes Purple AI data and workflows to a customer's own agents; customer data is not used for model training

Cons

  • Only useful inside the SentinelOne platform; it does not sit over other vendors' consoles
  • No public price, trial or packaging detail on the vendor's pages; the packages page does not say which tier includes it
  • Agentic triage still needs a human owning the verdicts, so the staffing saving is smaller than the marketing implies

Which one fits

Choose CrowdStrike Charlotte AI if you need

  • Falcon customers with a tier-one alert queue that overwhelms a small team
  • SOCs that want to build approval-gated response workflows without a separate SOAR product
  • Security leaders who need plain-language investigation summaries for executives

Choose SentinelOne Purple AI if you need

  • SOC teams already standardised on SentinelOne Singularity who want faster triage and hunting
  • Security teams with junior analysts who need guided investigations and auto-documented notebooks
  • Enterprises that want agentic response bounded by pre-approved policies and FedRAMP High support
