Use tool ↗About RingCentral AI
RingCentral folds three AI pieces into its business phone and contact-centre products rather than selling them standalone. AI Receptionist answers and routes inbound calls around the clock, the AI Virtual Assistant sits in live calls to take notes, translate and trigger workflows, and AI Conversation Expert mines finished conversations for trends, sentiment and coaching material. Real-time transcription, meeting summaries and an AI writer for messages come with the platform. The vendor is RingCentral, Inc., NYSE-listed as RNG and headquartered in Belmont, California; the AI features attach to paid RingEX and RingCX seats, with AI Receptionist also sold as an add-on.

Pros & cons of RingCentral AI
If your phone system is already RingCentral, the AI comes as part of the estate instead of another vendor to integrate, and the receptionist plus conversation analytics cover the two jobs most teams actually want. If it is not, none of this is buyable on its own. Pricing is the weak spot: the AI is spread across plan tiers and add-ons and the public page would not show us seat prices.
Pros
- AI Receptionist answers, answers FAQs and routes calls 24/7 without a human queue
- Live assistant handles notes, translation and workflow triggers during the call itself
- Conversation analytics runs over calls, meetings and messages already in the platform
- Transcription and meeting summaries are included rather than a separate subscription
Cons
- Nothing here is sold separately from RingCentral's communications platform
- Which AI skills you get depends on which tier you bought
- Public pricing pages hid the actual seat numbers behind a sales contact
Best for
- Companies already on RingEX or RingCX
- Small teams that want inbound calls answered after hours
- Support managers who want call sentiment and coaching from existing recordings
Not for
- Teams who want a standalone voice agent without switching phone providers
- Buyers who need a published per-seat price before a sales call
Watch out: The two AI items with visible prices are add-ons, not plan inclusions - $39 for AI Receptionist and $60 for Conversational Intelligence sit on top of your seat cost.
