Quartzite
Quartzite is a bring-your-own-API-key chat client: you pay a small flat fee for the interface and prompt-management features, then pay each model provider separately for actual usage. That keeps the subscription cheap, but your total cost depends on API pricing you have to track yourself outside the app.
Pros
- combines a markdown prompt editor, version history, and reusable templates in one interface
- shows a cost preview before you send a request
- supports multiple current models including recent releases
- flat interface subscription is separate from and cheaper than a typical single-model subscription
Cons
- you must supply and manage your own API keys for every model provider
- actual usage costs are variable and billed outside Quartzite, so total spend isn't fixed
