Text- and image-to-video generation with viral effect templates, lip sync and a per-minute API
PixVerse generates short video from a text prompt or a still image, and most of its reach has come from templates - the effect presets that spread on TikTok - rather than from open-ended prompting. Around that sit lip sync and voice, character consistency across shots, a canvas for chaining steps, a conversational agent mode, a marketing hub aimed at ad creative, a CLI and an API billed by output minute. Apps ship for iOS and Android as well as the browser. The company behind it is AIsphere, also known as Beijing Aishi Technology, founded in April 2023 by a former ByteDance and Microsoft executive; Alibaba led a $60M round in it. Subscriptions run on credits from roughly $8 a month on annual billing.
Standard is about $8 a month when billed annually (1,200 credits, 720p, three concurrent jobs); monthly billing costs more. Pro is around $24 and Premium $48 a month, and the free tier hands out a daily credit allowance that does not roll over. API usage is billed separately per minute of output - roughly $4.80 a minute for the V6 model - not from subscription credits.
Use tool ↗Best understood as a template machine with a general video model behind it: the effect presets are what people actually use, and they are genuinely fast on mobile. The credit system is where the cost hides - credits expire monthly and the API is billed separately by the minute.
Watch out: Resolution is tiered - the entry plan caps at 720p, and 1080p starts at the Pro tier.
