Where the AI runs out, on complex routing or group bookings, the service hands off to human travel experts who handle the booking. Core planning is free, with a premium tier for extra planning features; bookings themselves go through partners. Layla was founded in Berlin in 2023 and was acquired by Expedia Group in July 2026, which says it will pair Layla's planner with its own travel inventory.
