What our research says

Daystack

The idea is neat — a playlist, but for the events of a day — and prompt-generated stacks plus a browsable community catalogue make it more social than a to-do list. In practice it reads as an unfinished indie side project: placeholder copy still on the marketing page, mobile apps in TestFlight and beta, no pricing, no named operator. Fine to try, risky to depend on.

Pros

  • Generates a full day plan from a single prompt
  • Events carry location tags and embedded YouTube video
  • Public catalogue of community-made stacks to copy and adapt
  • Works on desktop and mobile web with no install

Cons

  • The marketing page still contains unedited Lorem ipsum placeholder text
  • iOS is TestFlight-only and Android is in beta — neither is a shipped store app
  • No company, founder, country, pricing or terms are published anywhere

Layla

Cheap for what it is, priced annually rather than monthly, and the human-expert fallback covers the cases where a generated itinerary would otherwise fall apart. It is still a recommendation layer on top of booking partners, so verify prices and availability before committing.

Pros

  • Annual pricing at $49 rather than a monthly subscription
  • Free tier covers core planning
  • Human travel experts available for complex bookings
  • Named operating company with a Berlin address

Cons

  • No public API
  • Fares and availability come from partners and need checking
  • No mobile app documented on the site
