What our research says

Krisp

Krisp is worth paying for if you take calls from places you cannot control, because it fixes the audio at the driver level rather than inside one app. The meeting-notes half is competent but not why you buy it.

Pros

  • Works as a virtual device beneath any app, so it is not tied to Zoom or Teams
  • Bidirectional: it also strips noise from the people you are listening to
  • A perpetual free tier still exists rather than the 7-day trial the pricing page pushes
  • On-device private transcription is available on Enterprise for regulated buyers

Cons

  • The pricing page foregrounds a 7-day trial and buries the free plan, which reads as a downgrade
  • Accent conversion on the speaker side is capped by hours per day even on paid tiers
  • Month-to-month costs double the annual rate at every tier
  • Call Center AI is sold per agent on annual billing through sales or a prepaid trial, so it is not a self-serve option for small teams

Sigmise

Sigmise is aimed squarely at non-native English speakers sitting in English-language meetings, translating what's said into their language as it happens rather than only after the fact. Capturing audio locally without a bot joining the call is a real point of difference from meeting-bot competitors, but it also means it only works on a device where the desktop app is installed and running.

Pros

  • No bot joins the call — audio capture happens locally on the device
  • Translates into 31 languages, not just one or two
  • Free plan is usable on its own (120 minutes/month) before paying
  • Produces AI summaries with speaker identification, not just a transcript

Cons

  • Desktop-only (Mac and Windows); no mobile or browser-based option
  • Source language appears limited to English
  • No company name or headquarters disclosed beyond Australian-law terms

Which one fits

Choose Krisp if you need

  • Remote and travelling workers with unavoidable background noise
  • Support and sales teams standardising call quality across many conferencing apps
  • Developers embedding noise suppression or accent conversion through the SDKs

Choose Sigmise if you need

  • Non-native English speakers attending English meetings regularly
  • Teams who don't want a visible bot participant joining their calls
  • Anyone needing meeting summaries with speaker identification
