What our research says

HaloMate

HaloMate covers the same multi-model-under-one-login ground as several competitors, but the credit system is unusually explicit about what different models cost to use, down to a stated chat-equivalent. That transparency also means heavy users of the pricier models will burn through credits noticeably faster than the daily count alone suggests.

Pros

  • Access to five major model families from one account
  • Persistent memory across conversations
  • Credit costs are explained with a concrete chat-count example, not just an abstract number
  • iOS app available today, not just a web app

Cons

  • Every tier is credit-limited per day rather than unlimited
  • Android app not yet available
  • No API for developers

TypingMind

The right buy if you already pay for API credits and resent a second $20/month subscription per model vendor. Pointless if you only use one model casually, because the raw ChatGPT or Claude app is free and better integrated.

Pros

  • One-time personal licence instead of a recurring fee is genuinely rare in this category
  • Model coverage is broad, including self-hosted OpenAI-compatible endpoints
  • Teams edition covers SSO, RBAC and audit logs, which most BYOK front ends do not

Cons

  • You pay token costs on top of the licence, so heavy use is not cheaper than a flat subscription
  • Feature parity with vendor apps always lags after a model launch
  • Desktop presence is mostly a browser install rather than a full native app

Which one fits

Choose HaloMate if you need

  • Users who want to try GPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek and Grok from one app with memory carried across chats
  • iOS users specifically, since that is the only mobile app live today

Choose TypingMind if you need

  • Heavy users who want one window across OpenAI, Anthropic and Google keys
  • Teams that need shared prompts and preset keys without giving everyone a seat on each vendor
  • People who want chat history in their own browser or storage rather than a vendor account
