Builds content briefs from live SERPs, now scoring AI answers too
Frase takes a target query, reads whatever is ranking for it right now, and lifts out the headings and the questions those pages answer into a brief you write against in a scored editor. The product has widened past classic rankings: Content Guard watches published pages for decay, and optimisation targets now include ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews. Finished drafts publish straight to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, Wix or Frase's own hosted CMS.
Starter $39/month annual or $49 monthly for 1 seat, 1 site, 10 articles and 50 audit pages; Professional $103/$129 for 3 seats, 5 sites and 40 articles; Scale $239/$299 for 5 seats, 10 domains and 100 articles; Enterprise custom. Extra seats are $29/month and overages are pay-as-you-go on the upper tiers. There is a 7-day trial but no free tier. FraseCMS hosting is free to 100,000 monthly page views, then $19 or $99/month.
Use tool ↗The brief builder is still the reason to buy it — pulling competitor headings and questions into a usable outline in a minute — but the article and audit caps are tight enough that the entry tier suits one writer, not a content team.
Watch out: Three separate monthly meters — articles, audit pages and Content Guard pages — run independently, so a plan can be useless for the rest of the month while two of the three counters still look healthy.
