What our research says

Email Genius

Email Genius replaces a single blast campaign with a separately generated email per recipient, and automates the whole cycle for recurring sends. The claimed open-rate lift is entirely vendor-reported, and annual-only billing with no lasting free tier makes it a bigger commitment than most small-list senders will want to test casually.

Pros

  • personalizes product selection and copy per recipient rather than per segment
  • automates recurring campaigns without manual rebuilding each cycle
  • Enterprise tier adds CRM integration and API access for larger sends

Cons

  • billing is annual only, with no visible monthly option
  • performance claims such as open rate and revenue lift come only from the vendor's own case studies
  • entry tier caps volume at 1,000 emails a month, which is small for a personalization tool

Omnisend

This is a mature e-commerce marketing platform that added AI to jobs it already did, which is why the AI features are useful rather than decorative — segments, subject lines and forms are the parts of the workflow that are genuinely tedious. The MCP server is an unusual addition: you can query campaign performance from Claude or ChatGPT and act on it. The pricing headline is misleading in the normal email-marketing way, since the bill tracks your contact count.

Pros

  • AI copy, subject lines, product recommendations and segmentation inside the existing builder
  • MCP server exposes account insights and actions to ChatGPT and Claude
  • Genuine free plan including the AI features, not a trial
  • Native integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix and Ecwid plus an open API
  • Named EU company operating since 2014 with published legal entities and a GDPR privacy policy

Cons

  • Price rises with contact count — $11.20 covers only 500 contacts
  • SMS is metered separately on top of the plan
  • Free plan is capped at 500 emails a month, which most active stores exhaust quickly
